Leafbare's harsh and cold claws had gripped the Clans once again, and prey was disappearing fast.
In the dark pine forest DarkClan was the first to suffer, and their leader knew they either betrayed part of the warrior code or died of starvation, so she lead her clan over the border into FernClan's territory in search of prey.
FernClan quickly got their best warriors together to fight off the invading DarkClan warriors, who were weak from hunger but determined to put up as good as fight as they could. Both sides quickly suffered loses.
Unable to support themselves on just their own territory with DarkClan invading, FernClan began crossing the border into BreezeClan's territory, ignoring the fact that they weren't fast enough to catch the rabbits. Like FernClan had BreezeClan fought off the warriors who had began hunting in their territory.
As the three Clans raged war against each other MistClan began to worry. They were the best-fed Clan in that harsh Leafbare and didn't want the other Clans to realise that and take all their prey. Instead of trying to help the other Clans and end the war, MistClan joined in too, smashing the other Clans with their strength and numbers.
FernClan was left with only a couple of warriors, almost wiped out but still holding on. DarkClan and BreezeClan suffered loses as well but not as greatly as FernClan. Many of MistClan's warriors were lost as well, however they were never hit by the full wrath of the war.
The Clans were horrified by what they had done to eachother, so they returned to their territories, marking their borders strongly but never daring to cross them, not even for the Gathering that moon.
Slowly they calmed down and focused on rebuilding their Clans, and went back to meeting every full moon again as soon as Newleaf had began.
